Marc Chagall's bright colors, detail and figures are sure to fascinate. We can explore both his paintings and his stained glass works during this month with some fun projects!

Activities
Activity 1: Magnifying Glass Activity!
Pick your favorite Chagall piece and print two copies! Cut out small details and challenge a child to use a magnifying glass to find all of the details. If you want to up the challenge rating you can make the detail pictures extra small so they really have to hunt!
If you want to support my work, you can download mine and my 3 part card set here.
Activity 2: Oil Pastel Wheatfirld
Set up for this project is simple. You will need quarter sheets of orange contruction paper and oil pastels in red, white and a blue colored pencil. Encourage children to make their own impression of this painting. You can set it out as an independent activity with a copy of this photo, or do it as a group activity.
Materials:
Oil Pastel in White, Yellow and Red
Colored Pencil in Blue
Yellow Paper
Activity 3: Stained Glass Window
For this activity you will need:
Black Paper
Tracing Paper
Blue Tissue Paper
Red Tissue Paper
Yellow Tissue Paper
Make sure there is more blue than the other colors available!
Cut a square out of the center of the paper and glue the tracing paper inside.
Then, the children can cut the tissue paper into various shapes (or it can be prepped for younger children) and glued into their own design!
Once it is complete, hang in the window and enjoy!
More coming soon!
